• Airport Water Redamation Facility Expansion Phase 1
Lyon Engineering working with Waterworks Engineering was chosen to design a new 3.75 million gallon a day water reclamation facility for the City of Prescott. This new facility will replace the current facility that has a maximum capacity of 1 million gallons per day. The project is located at the existing Airport Water Reclamation facility near the Prescott Airpark. This project will utilize the Construction manager at Risk (CMAR) delivery method. Lyon Engineering will support Waterworks Engineering with survey, grading and drainage, sewer infrastructure, and post design services. Lyon Engineering will provide the City with a stand alone “Road Map” document that includes the various components and activities required for the potential conversion of the system from a Decentralized to a Centralized system. The Road Map will include timelines, costs and operational implications expected for each component. The main areas expected to be impacted by the potential conversion to the Centralized option.

  • Granite Creek Floodplain Delineation
Lyon Engineering has been contracted to perform a detailed floodplain/floodway analysis of Granite Creek for the City of Prescott, Arizona and FEMA. We have completed a thorough field investigation of existing conditions and Manning’s value determination from the Watson Lake Dam to the confluence of Bottleneck Wash, north of the Prescott Municipal Airport. Lyon is analyzing and mapping the 10, 50, 100, and 500-year floodplains as well as the 100-year floodway. Utilizing BOSS RiverCAD and HEC-RAS, we are updating the current FEMA Approximate Zone A to a detailed study of Zone AE with Floodway.

  • SR20/Erie Street Storm Drain Reconfiguration
Lyon Engineering is designing a reconfiguration of storm drain systems for the City of Oak Harbor, Washington. Recent flooding problems have caused the city to contract Lyon to redirect drainage from flowing east along SR20 to south along Bayshore Drive. This redirecting of the drainage will not only reduce the flooding along SR20, but will also allow the runoff to outlet to Oak Harbor as it historically did, through the Freund Marsh area. Lyon performed detailed survey of the existing infrastructure and will complete the construction staking for the reconfiguration.

  • Chino Valley Area Drainage Master Study
Lyon Engineering has recently completed the Area Drainage Master Study for the Town of Chino Valley, Arizona.
